My client is looking is looking Seamstress/ Textiles Repair Assistant to join their team. I am looking for someone who has previous experience working with industrial sewing machines and is used to making drapes or similar products. Must be trained and experienced in the use of industry level sewing machinery.
Seamstress/ Textiles Repair Assistant Duties:
- Carrying out repairs as required on all forms of textile and soft goods
- Supervising the textile repairs team
- Carrying out alterations and additions to all forms of textile inventory.
- Liaising with internal teams to ensure the repair process is smooth and efficient
- Using stock control system to update repair tickets with parts and labour required
- Liaising/ Aiding the repairs administrator
- Support with training of junior team members
- Work with the Technical Manager to ensure all operations are risk assessed and control measures are being adhered to.
Seamstress/Textiles Repair Assistant Attributes:
- To be able to work under pressure to changing deadlines
- Self-motivated and organised with the ability to plan workload
