Purchasing Assistant
My client is looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join their team, the main focus of this role, will be being responsible for the efficient running off the procurement processes.
Salary: Up to £24,000
Location: Hatfield, Herts
You will be supporting the Purchasing Manager in achievement of best pricing and delivery/supply terms from suppliers.
Purchasing Assistant duties:
- Ensure the correct materials are ordered for the optimum delivery date
- Liaising with the Stock administrator to ensure materials are received on time and to the correct quantity and quality
- Running / updating the systems associated with the Purchasing process including raising and issuing Purchase Orders through Sage 50 and communications via the CRM and emails.
- Liaising with suppliers regarding delivery and quality issues
- Managing any material returns and replacements
- Work with management to develop, maintain and continually apply best practice
- Identification of potential new suppliers of goods and services
- Work with (Finance / Sales) to forecast overseas supply requirements
- Maintain the inventory of product samples at efficient, effective levels
- Coordinate with Finance to agree payment terms
- Develop strong relationships with internal and external contacts
- Understanding and use of CRM / ERM
- Knowledge and prior use of SAGE 50
