Lead Software Engineer
My client is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to work as a key member of our Engineering team.
Salary: £50,000-£60,000
Location: Stanstead Abbotts, Herts
This is a split role, 60% coding: 40% managing the architecture / team deliverables. It is important that this person has previous experience in a similar role, to be able to add impact and hit the ground running.
Lead Software Engineer duties and skills:
- Develop new software as well as maintain the existing code base
- Communicate with internal and external developers
- Create policies that help the team
- Produce high-quality software solution
- Documentation for development, testing, operation
- Provide technical support for customers and co-workers
- Troubleshooting any network/hardware/software issue during development and support
Proficient in:
- C/C++
- Linux OS
- Git
- Knowledge of computer systems, networks, mobile device and other technical equipment
Good to have
- C#, Python and JavaScript
- TCP/IP, HTTP
- Knowledge in serial data communication (e.g. RS232, RS485 etc)
